Special rules cover the behavior of residents in, and eviction of residents from, transitional housing.

The following rules are to be adhered to all residents. Failure to comply is cause for immediate dismissal. 1. Residents will not use or have in their possession alcohol or drugs on or off the premises during their stay. Violation of this rule will result in immediate termination. Residents are required to report to staff use of drugs or alcohol by any resident. 2. Any behavior considered as threat, either physical or verbal, toward to house residents, or staff members will be dealt with on an individual basis and may result in termination of residency and/or referral to law enforcement agency. NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ALLOWED. 3. Residents are expected to share in responsibility of house maintenance. Problems concerning household chores or living arrangements will be brought to the attention of the resident manager/program director. 4. Personal hygiene and good housekeeping habits will be observed at all times. Residents are expected to keep themselves and their living area clean. Soiled clothes are to be kept in hampers or in plastic bags in closet. Residents must be fully dressed at all times in common areas. 5. No smoking or tobacco chewing in the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms and front of the house. 6. Television will be turned off during all meetings and when not in use. Television viewing and lights out can be regulated by house manager. 7. Absolutely no sexual activity with other residents, staff or visitors. 8. No visitors are allowed in bedrooms. Visiting hours are 11:00am to 7:00pm. NO OVERNIGHT GUESTS. 9. Residents to attend all scheduled meetings and groups. This includes all in-house meetings as directed by Second Chance. 10. No automobile repairs or service permitted on property. Unless approved by staff prior to doing any work.
